I officially have a list.
Heheh. That sounds strange. I think we all have lists of some kind or other.
I officially have a list of people to whom I send weekly email. You might be one of them.
So what does that mean?
It means I can get my message out to more people. It’s a big step for me and one I have been delaying (procrastinating) for a very long time. Like a year or more?
Why have I been putting it off?
At first I want to say, “I don’t know.” But for those of you who know me, you know I don’t subscribe to “I don’t know.” We all know. I know.
So why have I been procrastinating this email list project?
I had to sit down and do some self coaching on the matter. Why was I feeling so much resistance?
And the answer came:
I actually was thinking that you, dear reader, would be expecting me to follow through on my commitment to send you an email each week and the pressure was too great. I caved. I put it off and it took a year to get here now.
(The pressure I feel in getting birthday cards out to my close family once a year can be paralyzing! And the people on my email list are going to expect me to write them an email once a week?!)
Sounds funny doesn’t it? – when you look at it that way.
But I’ve changed my thinking. I choose to see my email list as a gift. It’s a precious treasure to me – not the list itself, but the people behind the email addresses. That’s you.
When I send you an email, I’m sending you part of me and we are connecting. I love connecting. And it’s so easy for you to just click reply and send me part of you.
My email gets sent out to the list on Monday and it’s titled Fab Friday.
I know. It doesn’t make sense. Stick with me here.
It’s my hope Monday’s message will give you just a little to ponder about – tweak your thinking, just a bit – or change your perception.
When this happens, magic happens. We change our brain by thinking different thoughts. When our brain changes, our life changes. When our life changes who knows what wonderful things are in store for us.[x_share title=”Share this Post” facebook=”true” twitter=”true” google_plus=”true” linkedin=”true” pinterest=”true”]
